Feeling Bad About Yourself? Maybe It’s Not Guilt, But Shame.

A lot of people think when they feel bad about themselves its low self-esteem or maybe its guilt, but then again it could be shame and we just don’t know it. Do You Have Hidden Shame? What is it and why do we have it?

Shame is an intense painful feeling of believing that we are flawed and unworthy of love and belonging. What is surprising is that this is a universal feeling among most people, except those who can’t show empathy or connection. They don’t experience shame. Shame is not the same thing as self-esteem or guilt. Shame is I am bad. I’m a total loser. I’m stupid. This is where you focus on yourself.

Shame is a feeling where self-esteem is a thought. If I asked you what are your strengths? Who are you? What are your limitations? We would take a moment to think about ourselves and assess where we are in relation to the question. The difference is we feel shame and we think self-esteem.

Guilty is I did something bad. Oh, my gosh! Why did I do that? That was a really stupid thing to do. Guilt is you have done something that is not compatible with your values. This is where you focus on your behavior. Shame is a feeling. Self-esteem is a thought and guilt is a behavior.

Shame leaves us feeling unlovable. Being loved and feeling we belong is a core need. We are wired for love and connection. We need to feel we belong. When we don’t have love, connection or belonging we will suffer with an emotional hurt. This is where one could use money to feel better or buy the love and connection that they so deeply desire.

Most people have shame, but they don’t want to talk about it. They may know that they have shame, but they like to keep it hidden. The problem is that the more you keep it hidden, the more you have it. Shame can’t survive when it is spoken about. Shame only works when we think we are alone in the pain. The moment you reach out and talk about what you are experience you have just brought shame up to the surface to be released. This is one way to heal your money worries.

Courage, Faith and Trust Have In Common?

Courage is an attitude. It is movement, doing something, some type of action towards your desire even through you may not feel like it. Courage is having faith that things will work out for you.

Faith is knowing that something or someone will come forth to help you in your time of need. Faith is trusting the Angels to assist you with your wish. Trust is knowing that you are being helped and allowing things to flow the way they do. Trust is taking your control off the outcome. How it turns out will be different than you expect. Sometimes it looks as if it is a challenge. 

Courage, faith and trust all work together. Without one the others can’t work. It like having a three legged stool and one of the legs are missing. The stool can’t stand on its own without falling over. It need the missing leg to be strong. It takes courage to do what you fear. It takes faith to believe it will work out for your best and highest good. It takes trust that you are being divinely guided.

Today as you go about your day. Tap into the energy of courage, which is ‘doing it’ in spite of how you feel. See how many times it touches your life. Then, see the faith that you have as you are using the energy of courage. Lastly trust it is all working out. There are things going on that are out of your control. Charge ahead with courage, have faith and trust the Angels are holding your hand along the way. I know that you can do!

Your Thoughts Are Creating Your Reality

There are many roads in life and different paths you may take to create your life. These roads are like different movies playing in your life. Is your life playing the way you want it to? Is your life full of joy and happiness or is it full of struggle and sorrow? Did you know your thoughts are creating or blocking you from having the life you want? Once you realize that, you can change your thoughts. Awareness is the first key.

Life Is A Series OF Movies

Think of your life like several movies playing all at once. There is the beautiful movie that inspires you and it is peaceful. When you are done watching the film you are empowered and you feel good about life. Another type of movie is the mediocre, ordinary, tolerable low budget “B” rated film. Then, there’s the comedy, where the charters are getting into and out of one jam after another as you laugh at all the errors they make in their life. Last, but not least there is the movie filled of tragedies. It is full of heavy heartache and every kind of drama or problem imaginable.

What type of movie is your life playing right now? Are you ready to change the film? Which movie do you want to play and experience? Your life, like the movie is chosen by the thoughts that you are thinking and you decide what you want to think.

Life is a series of adventures and it is your reaction to what’s going on around you that makes it easy or hard. One way to look at a challenging time is as a lesson or a learning experience. This lesson is here to stretch you and help you grow.

When you think of the challenging time as a lesson then the path is easier as you know you will get through it. You now have possibility thinking, instead of thinking I can’t do this. Now you are thinking about ways you can get through it or do it. What movie are you playing right now? What movie do you want to play in the future? The choice is yours. Practice focusing on a positive outcome and your movie will change.

Faith Opens Doors For Miracles To Happen

Faith Is Possibilities Taking Form.

The universe is on our side. It is constantly working on our behalf. There is an unseen force working for the good of all, but we are just not aware of these unfolding unseen forces. We forget that it is there and we try to do it on our own.

We try to direct, force and control this unseen force, but we only interfere with it. One has to have faith and trust that the unseen force is on our side. Trust in the unseen force that moves the Universe and have faith it knows what it is doing.

When we relax our willingness allows it to work on our behalf. Faith is the force of things hoped for that works through the evidence of things not seen. Faith is the trust we function on. It is an idea of possibilities taking form. It is the power to create.

When one has faith and focuses on a positive outcome.  The situation changes, but one must hold the truth top of mind, for example: the custody suit I was in was stuck. I was done fighting and I wanted the whole thing to be finished. I switched my thinking around by focusing on a positive outcome instead of all the fighting and having faith everything would turn out okay.

Faith is to believe in, what you don’t see. One of the most important things to have in life is the deep feeling of faith. One may have faith in the fact that life is here to support you and that the universe works in order and perfection, even if you can’t seem to see it or understand it.

Real faith is believing that no matter whatever is happening right now, it is always for your best and highest good, even if you disagree with it. For in the unseen there is a gift or lesson that you just haven’t understood yet.

Faith opens the door for miracles to happen.

Free Yourself From Giving Up And Settling On Your Dream

Most people stop short, just before they succeed. They seem to give up and settle. Making it okay not to reach their dream. Are you going to stop? Or are you going to keep going towards your goal, dream or vision and breakthrough the last barrier to your success?

The key is to be aware when you are giving up and settling.

The other day I was traveling with a friend from San Francisco to Santa Rosa. It was a beautiful Sunday morning. The sky was bright blue. The trees were still glistering from the evening dew   and we assumed the drive up the coast would be easy. We were going against traffic and we left with extra time to spare for our two hour trip. The first couple of highways that we traveled on were light with traffic as we chatted the morning away. It wasn’t until we got to the very tall and long one lane bridge that we got stuck in traffic.

It was a steady line of red tail lights as far as you could see. We were cruising at the high speed of ten miles an hour. My friend started to get frustrated and wanted to turn around and go home. But the problem was there was nowhere to turn around on the bridge. We were surrounded by cement and water. We were almost there.

At the top of the bridge I could see the signal light ahead. All we had to do was go straight down the bridge to the signal light. Then we would be free from the traffic. Most of the traffic was turning right at the signal light to the race track. My friend and I had no idea that there was a big race in Napa Valley that day. 

My friend was getting very upset and was saying things such as, “I knew this wouldn’t work out. It was a mistake. I shouldn’t have gone.” When I questioned her about it and asked, “What was so important that you should have stayed home?” She didn’t have a real answer. They were excuses, such as cleaning the house, gardening or paperwork.

Are you like my friend, wanting to turn around, throw the towel in and go home? Are you ready to give up just before the great breakthrough to your dream and happiness? Are you willing to go through that last challenge to get what you really want or do you settle for something less?

What do you do when you drive yourself into a place of frustration or anger? The energy of frustration or anger that you are sending out keeps circling around you like a dust bowl. It sticks to you like glue until you shift your energy. When you’re frustrated or angry your mind keeps replaying the same thoughts. Those thoughts keep circling around and around in your mind like a hamster on a wheel. The thoughts start feeding on each other and the problem get bigger and bigger as the mind blows it out of proportion.

When we become disappointed or frustrated most of the time it is easier to give up and settle than to figure out a new way of creating our desire. Next time you are ready to throw in the towel and settle. Pause for a moment and ask yourself, “If I settled would I be happy?” If the answer is no, then find another option and keep moving forward towards your dream. It has been my experience that if you keep going then all of a sudden there is a shift in the energy and the outcome turns out better than you could have ever imagined. You are so happy that you stuck with it. What is the new idea or option you can do today?
